Forteresse de Montbazon

The forteresse de Montbazon is a medieval fort in the region of the Renaissance castles. This fort may be less elegant than its neighbours with refined architecture, but it is just as captivating thanks to its donjon, the oldest one in France, watching over the Indre valley from its rocky. In summer, you can visit the various ‘échoppes’ (shops) inside the walls and discover medieval crafts. Craftsmen demonstrate their work and you can create your own item to bring home with you. In 2018, an escape game will be added to the activities.
